I am Sherifa Farghal, an Egyptian architect, interior designer, and abstract artist.
My journey began in architecture, where I learned to understand space through line, proportion, detail, and void. Over time, I discovered that what truly captivates me is not the space itself, but the imprint it leaves upon the human spirit.
I transitioned from designing physical spaces to exploring the inner landscapes of the human being. In my art, I use color, texture, and movement to express the ineffable—memory, desire, pain, fragility, and the contradictions we carry within.
I do not seek to paint what I see, but rather what I feel.
Nor do I always look for a clear image, for some emotions do not manifest clearly to begin with.
I believe that true art need not be fully explained; it is enough for it to touch something deep within you.
To me, architecture creates the space, design gives it character, and art reveals its soul.
This is the space where I find myself: between intellect and emotion, order and chaos, and between what we reveal to the world and what we keep hidden within.
